for cooperation and joint actions, NATO Secretary General George Robertson said in Prague on Friday.
PRAGUE, Nov 22 (Hina) - The Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council must
adjust itself to a new world in the wake of the attacks on New York
and Washington on 11 September last year, and become a platform for
consultations and mechanisms for cooperation and joint actions,
NATO Secretary General George Robertson said in Prague on Friday.

He gave this statement opening a summit meeting of the Euro-
Atlantic Partnership Council, which gathers NATO member-states and
all countries which have partnership relations with the Alliance.
NATO is expanding, taking over new missions, modernising military
capacities and strengthening partnership relations, Robertson
stressed.
He expressed hope that Friday's meeting would give a new impetus to
this partnership.
