Commenting on the fact that the Hague-based UN war crimes tribunal
issued indictments against several high-ranking Croatian officers
or called them (like Admiral Domazet) as suspects for interviews,
Miroslav Tudjman, a son of the first Croatian president, Franjo
Tudjman, asserted in Croatia those who defended the homeland were
being more tried than Serb aggressors.
"Therefore I believe that generals Janko Bobetko and Ante Gotovina,
who are refusing to go to The Hague, are in the right. We are
expecting of Admiral Domazet (who has accepted to go for an
interview) to successfully defend himself, the Homeland War and
Croatia before that tribunal," Tudjman said.
Being warmly welcomed by citizens of Sinj (his hometown) who
attended the presentation of his book, the retired admiral said he
had "enough strength, courage, knowledge and faith to say "No" to
that bad world when on Tuesday he should appear before the Hague
Tribunal's investigators."
He added that he had in advance known that upon the publication of
his book, he would be accused by the ICTY (International Criminal
Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia)
