Vujic spoke to the press today about the significance of the
Belgrade Book Fair, particularly for Croatian publishers, to whom
it was important that Croatian books circulate as much as
possible.
Vujic also reflected on "The Croatian Culture Week in Germany"
which began on October 14 and will continue until November 30.
Minister Vujic himself will attend the official opening in Berlin
on November 5 when a concert will be held by Croatian Radio
Television choir and the symphonic orchestra. The manifestation
will be followed by theatre productions, exhibitions, the art of
modern media and the presentation of films as well as an encounter
of Croatian and German intellectuals.
Vujic expressed his satisfaction that Croatia would chair the INCP
- an international network of cultural policies, as of the
beginning of next year. The fifth INCP conference was held in
Capetown recently. The network acts within the UNESCO. The sixth
INCP conference will be held in Opatija in October 2003.
As of January 1, next year Croatia will become a member of the
EUROIMAGES, a European association supporting film and the film
industry, Vujic reminded.
