Croatia is ready to help immediately or later, through
reconstruction projects, the charge d'affaires at the Croatian
Embassy in Rome, Ivo Radovic, told the president of the Molise
region, Angelo Michele Iorio, during a visit to the area.
Expressing gratitude, Iorio said the Croatian government was the
first foreign government to offer assistance, which showed that a
friend in need was a friend indeed.
Iorio said that the damage was being established and that he would
contact the Croatian government once a damage report was
completed.
Radovic today also visited towns in Molise populated by Croats and
held talks with local officials.
