Flego held talks with the university's head Frano Ljubic in the
southern Bosnian town on Sunday.
Flego said the Croatian state budget would be tapped further to help
the Mostar University, and that expert assistance would also
continue.
More than 200 Croatian professors teach at the Mostar University,
with costs covered by the Croatian government, which Flego said
ensured a high level of education.
The five million kuna the Croatian government earmarked for the
Mostar University is part of a total of 25 million (EUR3.4 million)
intended as assistance for Croats in Bosnia.
Ljubic said Croatia could not solve the financial problems of his
university, but added that the professors from Croatia were of
great assistance.
The two officials also discussed the possibility of Croatia's
helping with financing the building of a university library in
Mostar.
