Various medical equipment has been brought to Bobetko's house from
"Dubrava" hospital, and a cardiologist and four nurses are
available constantly, which costs in excess of 200,000 kuna,
Vlahusic said.
The Health Ministry will not support more intensive medical
treatment of Bobetko, and his physicians should know the risks of
the inadequate treatment hitherto, he stressed.
The ministry does not want to politicise Bobetko's case, so it will
not take back the medical equipment and jeopardise the general's
health.
"However, I ask Bobetko's doctors if his health is jeopardised in
that way and whether there are better forms of treatment," Vlahusic
said.
Asked whether such medical care would be provided to any other
citizen who would opt for home treatment, the minister said it would
not because Bobetko's treatment was "outside of the usual
standard".
