"We oppose the acceptance of indictments against Croatian generals
designed in such a way to directly charge the Homeland War, support
Croatian generals and condemn the Hague tribunal's indictments
which define the Homeland War and its operations as aggressive,"
Karnincic said.
"Those who committed crimes should be punished because they have
smeared the Homeland War. However, those crimes should be
investigated, which is the job of the Croatian police, and one must
not allow the Croatian army and the entire country to become hostage
to acts by a few crazy people," Karnincic said.
Asked by a reporter what "the partisans, Ustasha, Homeguards and
Homeland War veterans were doing in the same association",
Karnincic said that no country in the world divided war veterans
according to wars and that the association welcomed all those who
fought for the Croatian state.
