statement.

Croatia is grateful to Japan for all it has done for Croatia over the
past ten years, such as the Japanese prompt recognition of Croatia
and numerous donations to Croatia's building industry, education
and culture, Tomcic said.
Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan also received the Japanese
Princess. They agreed it was necessary to nurture the two
countries' good relations and invest in their further development,
said a statement issued by the Croatian government's public
relations office.
