The agenda includes draft measures for increasing efficiency in
prosecuting white-collar crime, drug abuse and war crimes, as
proposed by the State Prosecutor's Office.
Also on the agenda are proposals by the Croatian Democratic Union
(HDZ) and the Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS) parliamentary
benches for changing the constitutional law on cooperation with the
war crimes tribunal in The Hague and introducing a moratorium on
cooperation with the tribunal.
The two parties on Monday expressed readiness to give up on their
proposal until further notice.
Parliament President Zlatko Tomcic advised the parties' whips to
completely withdraw their proposals instead of only postponing
them.
The parties' response will be known following party
consultations.
The parliament was to discuss the HDZ/HSLS proposal on Thursday
according to a previous decision.
