Deputy Defence Minister Zlatko Gareljic said that military
exercises with NATO members were of multiple benefit for enhancing
Croatia's military readiness and for the entire Croatian defence
system.
He said that when organising the manoeuvres, attention would be
paid to avoid them affecting the tourist season and diminishing
Croatia's image as a tourist destination.
The parliament also adopted a decision on the continuation of
Croatian military observers participating in the UN peace mission
(UNASMIL) in Sierra Leone.
