ZAGREB, Oct 7 (Hina) - The Croatian parliament and foreign ministry

announced on Monday. #L#
Talking to reporters after a meeting with a parliamentary
delegation, which also included the chairman of the foreign affairs
committee, Zdravko Tomac, Picula said the meeting was directed at
the parliamentary dimension of Croatia's foreign policy.
Parliament and the Foreign Ministry concur as to values and goals,
but these can be achieved only with a better coordination and
synchronicity between the two institutions, said the foreign
minister.
He announced there would be more talk about the coordinating task
force on Wednesday's session of parliament's foreign affairs
committee, which he will attend.
Tomcic said parliament supported the establishment of a task force
which would make the national foreign policy entirely uniform, and
added he was satisfied with the cooperation with the Foreign
Ministry.
Also discussed today was the Croatian diaspora. One of the chief
conclusions was the need to establish in Croatia an institution
where Croats living abroad would be able to exercise their rights
and their relationship with the homeland, said Tomcic. The need to
increase funds for that purpose was also pointed out.
