Commenting on Saturday's protest rallies in Pula and Rijeka against
a high rise in the price of power, Mesic said he was "surprised that
some citizens say they have received bills increased by 200
percent, while others say that nothing special has changed. This is
proof that something has changed on which the HEP did not count, or
citizens were differently treated."
The Croatian President was asked to comment on the latest
developments in connection with the power price rise, when he was
touring a school for fire-fighters in Zagreb on Monday.
The president added that the HEP should soon revise the bills as for
the state, "the worst is if citizens are dissatisfied."
