ZAGREB, Sept 20 (Hina) - The Croatian Employers' Association (HUP) on Friday asserted that with the implantation of a new tariff system the power became considerably expensive for the economy as well, although the government and the Croatian Power Industry (HEP) claimed that this would not happen.
ZAGREB, Sept 20 (Hina) - The Croatian Employers' Association (HUP) on Friday asserted that with the implantation of a new tariff system the power became considerably expensive for the economy as well, although the government and the Croatian Power Industry (HEP) claimed that this would not happen. #L# The price of electricity has become higher by average 18.5 percent for legal entities, the employers complained. The government and HEP previously promised that the new system for the payment would disburden the industry. The HUP chairman, Zeljko Ivancevic, accused the government and HEP of deluding the economy and big users of the electricity. Employers expect of the Ivica Racan cabinet and HEP to express their stand on the latest developments and unexpected situation due to an increase in the price of the electricity. (hina) ms sb
