A total of 7,537 candidates from 57 political parties and nine
coalitions have registered for this year's election, while the
number of registered voters is 2.343 million, she recalled.
The ballot, which will elect the new make-up of the state Presidency
and of the state and the two entities' parliaments, will be
monitored by 6,909 observers who have been accredited by domestic
non-governmental organisations and associations.
The regularity of the election will be monitored also by 514
observers from international organisations and various states.
This year's ballot will be implemented by domestic authorities for
the first time since the 1995 Dayton peace agreement.
