On behalf of the Croatian government, Croatian National Bank (HNB)
and the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development, HNB
Deputy Governor, Boris Vujcic, spoke at the plenary session,
stressing that after a successfully realised stand-by arrangement
for 2001 and 2002, Croatia wished to signed a new one to continue the
begun reforms and achieve goals of the government's economic
programme.
The current arrangement helped with structural reforms in Croatia.
The government did not, and does not intend to, in the new
arrangement, draw granted funds, Vujcic said.
The arrangement helped Croatia's credit rating and was a guarantee
to investors that the country will not yield from its planned
programme, Vujcic said in his speech.
