Also scheduled is a meeting with the heads of the IMF Mission to
Croatia. Talks will focus on the possible signing of a new stand-by
arrangement between Croatia and the IMF, Kustrak told reporters on
Monday.
Of the indicators to be presented by the Croatian delegation in
Washington, Kustrak pointed to the stagnation of indebtedness, a
budget deficit which is under control, and optimistic
announcements for 2003. In 2003, Finance Ministry officials expect
the economic growth rate will grow to around five percent, the
reduction of the budget deficit, the maintaining of the currency
stability, and low inflation trends.
