Court, the last two witnesses testified called in by the prosecution. Some did not respond to subpoenas because they had not received the summonses, and 14 witnesses from Yugoslavia also did not testify.
SPLIT, Sept 26 (Hina)- At Thursday's hearing in the trial against
eight former members of the 72nd battalion of the military police
accused of war cries and the murder of two civilians in the Lora
military jail before Split County Court, the last two witnesses
testified called in by the prosecution. Some did not respond to
subpoenas because they had not received the summonses, and 14
witnesses from Yugoslavia also did not testify. #L#
The panel of judges will give its opinion on the testimonies given
by witnesses on Friday, as well as on a proposal by the prosecution
to have new witnesses examined from Yugoslavia and a further
proposal by the defence that the five defendants available to the
court be released from custody after exactly one year expires.
