The enactment of this bill should encourage the development of the
manufacturing industry, tourism and research.
The new law should stimulate investments aimed at the enhancement
of the country's capacities through the introduction of new
technology and investment into long-term assets.
The new law makes a distinction between Croatian and foreign
investors.
The lowest value of the investment, which might be covered by
stimulating measures, was lowered to two million kuna (274,000
euros), and the tax basis rather than tax rates would be decreased.
Also today, the parliament endorsed a bill on free zones and free
warehouses.
