Leaving Zagreb's Casualty Hospital, Lacic held a news conference
organised by Nenad Ivankovic, the president of the Association for
the Protection of Homeland War Values, HONOS.
Lacic said he would be persistent with the protest until the
dismissed policemen are restored to police service.
"We will continue the protest which was brutally interrupted on
September 11 without any written note from our colleagues that the
strike has been ceased. So we had to move away from St. Mark's
Square, but the protest continues," Lacic said.
He refused to comment on an offer to six of the protesters who found
shelter in St. Mark's church that if they exited the church, all
misdemeanour charges against them would be dropped.
Lacic reiterated that the interior ministry was "spreading
misinformation about the protest", and called on the ministry's
spokeswoman not to do this any more.
Lacic's attorneys have announced suits regarding the police action
at St. Mark's Square, when all medical documentation about Lacic's
health condition is completed.
