KNIN IN 15 DAYS KNIN, Sept 5 (Hina) - Over 50 Croat families, that moved from Bosnia-Herzegovina into the southern Croatian town of Knin, have received orders to leave within the next 15 days the houses they are living in now, or they
will be evicted. The orders, however, fail to mention whether the families have any right or even the right to appeal against the order, the association of Bosnian Croat settlers reported on Thursday.

Discussing the housing and other problems of Bosnian Croat settlers
in Knin, the association last night concluded that they were
perhaps in the most difficult situation since their arrival in this
town.
The association called on the families that received the eviction
orders to appeal against this decision.
The association cautioned that over 700 remaining Bosnian Croat
families would face the same situation until the end of this year,
and it pointed out that there were no objective possibilities for
providing at least half of them with permanent housing.
In addition, another 300 families that are living in flats with no
official decisions or papers, are in a grave situation as well.
The association says that all requests by Bosnian pensioners for
so-called additional pensions have been turned down, although they
are entitled to this bonus under the law and according to the
Croatian government's announcements.
The association added that Croat settlers would remain and survive
in Knin regardless of all those problems.
