Speaking at a press conference after a government session in
Pristina on Wednesday, Rexhepi dismissed as irresponsible claims
by Miroslav Solevic, one of the leaders of Kosovo Serb protests in
the 1980's, about a mass return of Serb refugees.
"I am not concerned about Solevic's claims, they serve the purposes
of internal politics in Serbia and are wishful thinking," Rexhepi
said, commenting on claims by the Committee for the Return of Kosovo
Serbs that tens of thousand Serb refugees will head for Kosovo on
September 21.
The Kosovo authorities do not accept Kosovo's being included in the
constitutional charter on the future union of Serbia and
Montenegro, as an integral part of Serbia, he said.
Rexhepi added that everything would depend on the stand of the
international community, but stated that "it would be dangerous if
the European Union or the UN accepted that".
