The Croatian delegation is led by the Fishermen's Guild of the Buje
region, Daniele Kolec, and the Slovene by the president of the
Piran-based Slovene Coast Fishermen Association, Zlatko
Novogradec.
The fishermen agreed to meet in order to defuse the situation after
a series of incidents which occurred due to different views of the
demarcation line in Piran Bay and the right to fishing. Croatia and
Slovenia have still not reached an agreement as to the sea border.
The meeting began at 9 am. Statements to the press are expected.
