tonnes of mortar shells and three tonnes of explosives in the eastern part of Mostar four months ago, spokeswoman for the OHR Office in Mostar, Avis Benes, confirmed on Friday.

the International Representative to Bosnia (OHR), has become
involved in an investigation of secret warehouses in which the
Stabilisation Forces found 120 tonnes of mortar shells and three
tonnes of explosives in the eastern part of Mostar four months ago,
spokeswoman for the OHR Office in Mostar, Avis Benes, confirmed on

International officials who wished to remain anonymous, said that
the involvement of international structures in the probe of
Mostar's secret weapons storage places had been spurred by the
efforts of the American FBI to track down weapons smugglers in the
Balkans, ahead of the first anniversary of the terrorist attack on
New York and Washington.
