SARAJEVO, Aug 3 (Hina) - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) on

have been launched, electronic state media said on Saturday. #L#
Bosnian authorities have made progress in the past 18 months in
achieving an economic growth without raising the inflation rate,
the IMF said in a statement.
The statement, however, points to declining economic activity, a
high unemployment rate, and a considerable imbalance in current
payments.
According to the Office of the High Representative in Bosnia, Paddy
Ashdown, the IMF loan indicates that Bosnian authorities and the
international community are working together in the spirit of
partnership so that Bosnia may progress.
The loan gives Bosnia an opportunity to undertake further reforms,
Ashdown said in a written statement.
