Veselinov and his Slovene counterpart Franci But stated after their
meeting that agreement was reached on 90 percent of issues relating
to 6,000 products that will be included in the free trade regime
once the deal was signed.
Veselinov and But said they believed the free trade deal could be
concluded before year's end so that it could go into force early
next year, even though agreement was not reached on the
liberalisation or quotas for milk, edible oil, poultry meat and
live cattle.
