"Should the government fail to do so it will shoulder
responsibility for the justified anger of citizens and unions,"
SSSH president Davor Juric said at a news conference Tuesday.
According to unions' assessments the increase in prices will
increase utility expenses by ten percent. The unemployed, retired
persons and those on welfare will suffer the most.
Juric demanded an urgent intervention and a session of the Economic
and Social Council at which the government and the Croatian Power
Supply Company should explain the announced increase in prices.
