Minister of Environment Protection and Zoning, Bozo Kovacevic,
said that the bill proposes regulations of the organisation and
subjects and instruments relating to the urban planning with
security of sustainable development and environment protection. It
also regulates the competence of the relevant bodies and state
administration and local self-government units in implementing
these measures.
A special value of the bill, Kovacevic said, was the abolishment of
site location permits as well as special administrative procedures
so that the pre-condition for building without any unnecessary
administrative procedures will be regulated solely with a building
permit.
The Ivica Racan cabinet adopted an agreement on care in
penitentiaries, jails and similar institutions which enables
spiritual assistance for detainees to be offered by a prison
chaplain. The Government signed a Protocol on the method of
registering legal entities in the Catholic Church.
The open section of the Government session was concluded by Tourism
Minister Pave Zupan-Ruskovic who said that according to
preliminary data, turnover in tourism in the first seven months of
this year was 4 per cent higher than for the same period last year.
