session, under the chairmanship of Croatian Premier Ivica Racan, to
discuss the ongoing construction works on the Zagreb-Split

The commission concluded that the works were being carried out
according to the schedule.
A programme for the issuing of the building permits, which was drawn
up together by the Croatian Motorways company and the Environmental
Protection and Zoning Ministry, is being implemented as scheduled,
the government's public relations office stated.
The Croatian Motorways company's Chief Executive Officer, Stanko
Kovac, notified the commission of the latest contracts which the
company had concluded with partners until this session.
On 17 July, a contract was made on the power supplies system for the
St. Rok's Tunnel, and a day later a contract on the construction of
the Konjsko Tunnel. On 9 August a contract was made relating the
building of the Brinje Tunnel.
