UMAG, Aug 8 (Hina) - Three Slovenian fishing boats on Thursday
morning crossed the demarcation line in the Bay of Piran between
Croatia and Slovenia, Istria's police reported on Thursday
afternoon. #L#
At about 09.20 am the police in the Croatian town of Umag were
informed that the three Slovenian fishing boats, just like three
days ago, crossed the demarcation line in the Bay.
A vessel of the Umag-based maritime police headed toward the scene
and found the three boats. Croatian police officers then told the
crews of the said Slovenian boats to return to the Slovenian
territorial waters, the Istrian police spokeswoman, Stefanija
Prosenjak Zumber said.
At the same time a vessel of Slovenian maritime police came at the
scene, and negotiations on the exact location of the Slovenian
boats, i.e. whether they entered the Croatian waters or remained in
the Slovenian, are still under way.
At 02.20 pm the two Slovenian boats returned to the town of Piran.
The third boat and the Slovenian patrol boat are still on the scene.
Yet another Slovenian fishing boat arrived there in the meantime.
