Macro economic circumstances in Croatia in the first half of 2002
characterise the continuation of economic growth and stable
prices, Finance Minister Mato Crkvenac said at last week's session
of the government.
The Finance Ministry estimates that the majority of economic
branches have good reason to expect that they could move in the
foreseen growth rates. This primarily refers to trade, building and
tourism.
At the same time the Ministry warned that in order to achieve the
estimated growth rate, an increase in industrial production is
required compared to the first half of the year.
Stability in prices should be maintained until the end of the year,
the Finance Ministry notes in its material on "Macro-economic
Circumstances in the First Half of 2002.
