ZAGREB, July 30 (Hina) - The Croatian Ambassador to Mozambique, Matko Zupanic, has handed his credentials to the country's president, Joaquim Albert Chissano, the Foreign Ministry reported on Tuesday.

Zupanic held talks with Mozambican Foreign Minister Leonard Santos
Simao, whom he reminded of an earlier initiative on signing an
agreement on the abolishment of visas for officials and diplomatic
personnel between the two countries, an agreement on investment
protection, and an agreement on cooperation in the fields of
science, education, culture and sports. He asked the minister to
expedite the process of signing.
During talks with Industry and Trade Minister Carlos Morgad, the
ambassador stressed the possibility of using Croatia's Rijeka port
for Mozambique's exports.
Roads and the reconstruction of harbours, as well as the
reconstruction and construction of the railway network were the
subject of talks between Zupanic and Transport and Communications
Minister Tomaz August Saloma.
