ZAGREB, July 28 (Hina) - Prime Minister-designate Ivica Racan and his political partners on Sunday afternoon agreed on the names of the new ministers in Croatia's government, thus wrapping up several days of negotiations on the new
government's composition and programme.

Ante Simonic of the Croatian Peasant Party, incumbent chairman of
parliament's science committee, is the new deputy prime minister,
Racan told reporters.
Zeljka Antunovic is the new minister of defence, replacing
Independent Liberal Jozo Rados.
Ljubo Jurcic is the new economy minister, Gvozden Flego the new
science minister, and Roland Zuvanic the new minister of maritime
affairs, transport and communications.
Gordana Sobol, incumbent MP of the Social Democratic Party and
chairwoman of the party's head committee, will enter the government
as a minister without portfolio. Sobol will be the chief-of-staff
of Racan's office.
