Despite parliament's endorsement, the new government will break in
a few months on the allocation of budgetary funds for ministries,
Sanader told reporters in Split.
He said that in Europe coalitions were created "in favour" of a
programme while Croatia had created a coalition "against" former
head of state Franjo Tudjman and his party, the HDZ.
The Croatian coalition's only motto is "accuse and promise, and
once in power, we will manage somehow," said Sanader.
He announced the HDZ would endorse a constitutional bill on
national minorities in parliament next Tuesday as national
minorities were not a burden but a wealth.
Sanader also said the HDZ would insist on giving Croatian emigrants
the basic constitutional right to vote.
As for the upcoming Sinjska Alka tournament, he said he would attend
but advocated depoliticising the event.
