ZAGREB, July 17 (Hina) - Industrial production in June this year dropped by 2.1 percent compared to the same month last year. In the first half of this year, industrial production rose by 2.8 percent in relation to the same period
last year, the State Bureau of Statistics reported.

Compared to last year's average monthly production rate,
industrial production in June increased by 2.8 percent.
According to the main industrial groups, the highest production
increase in said period was recorded in power production - 22.6
percent.
The production of intermediary products, not including power,
dropped by 6.2 percent, while the production of capital products
dropped by 15.1 percent. The production of durable and non-durable
consumer goods dropped by 0.6 and 3.3 percent respectively.
Manufacturing industry, which accounts for 83.33 percent of the
overall industrial production, dropped by 6.3 percent. In the first
half of this year, it increased by 1.9 percent compared to last
year.
The production of electrical machines and appliances dropped by
34.5 percent in relation to June last year. The production of metal,
cellulose, paper, and paper products dropped by 29 percent.
The highest increase was recorded in the production of radio and TV
sets, and communications equipment - 28.7 percent.
Production in the sector of mining increased by 37 percent compared
to last June, while the first half of this year saw an increase of
18.2 percent.
Power, gas, and water production increased by 14.4 percent in June,
and the increase in the first half of the year was 6.8 percent.
