ZAGREB, July 15 (Hina) - The Croatian teachers' union, called "Preporod (Revival)", on Monday asked the prime minister designate Ivica Racan not to re-appoint Vladimir Strugar as the education minister, as he, according to the union,
had failed to make positive changes in the national schooling system since he had taken the ministerial post two and a half years ago.

Ivica Racan not to re-appoint Vladimir Strugar as the education
minister, as he, according to the union, had failed to make positive
changes in the national schooling system since he had taken the
ministerial post two and a half years ago. #L#
The union also accuses the resigned minister Strugar of making some
errors and failures, because of which he should have stepped down
earlier. It blames him for a scandal about textbooks,
misinformation about winter holidays and the annulment of bonuses
in salaries.
