ZAGREB, July 2 (Hina) - The Croatian Peasant Party (HSS) will offer three possible solutions to the current crisis of the coalition government: the resignation of the incumbent government so that President Stjepan Mesic can appoint a
prime minister designate who will set up a new government, or the establishment of an interim government, or if these two proposals are rejected, HSS ministers will offer their resignation but the party will support any interim government until the next elections.

The last two possibilities envisage the elections to be held until
early October so that a new government can be set up in time to
prepare a draft of a state budget for the next year, said HSS
President Zlatko Tomcic after a three-and-half-hour-long meeting
of the HSS presidency on Tuesday night.
According to conclusions which the HSS leadership unanimously
adopted, the current five-party coalition has no longer any
credibility or conditions for its further functioning, and in
recent months it has generated a series of crises, neglecting its
work on vital problems.
Tomcic will inform coalition partners about these conclusions on
Wednesday.
