Stjepan Mesic of Croatia, Vojislav Kostunica of Yugoslavia and
Bosnian three-man Presidency members - Beriz Belkic, Jozo
Krizanovic and Zivko Radisic - gathered in the villa called "Konak"
in the Bosnian capital to discuss refugee returns, liberalisation
of visa regimes, the flow of capital, people and goods, European
integration processes and the fight against terrorism.
After the meeting they are expected to sign a joint declaration.
The talks are being held under heavy security.
Since early morning Sarajevo streets have been full of policemen
patrolling.
Armed personnel carries of the NATO-led Stabilisation Force (SFOR)
were seen at all entrances to the city with SFOR troops in full
battle kit.
Cars which brought state officials to the venue of the meeting
carried no flags or other national symbols. However, the national
flags of the three neighbouring countries were hoisted in front of
the villa.
