According to the daily, the autumn negotiations were announced by
Italian Vice Premier Gianfranco Fini during talks with
representatives of the Federation of Istria, Rijeka, and
Dalamatia's Refugees.
By the end of this summer, an Italian commission for negotiations
with Zagreb will be appointed and until then a commission founded at
the foreign ministry should complete its task of examining the
possibilities for the return of real-estate to the Italian
refugees, esuli.
After the Croatian parliament adopted a law on denationalisation,
which also includes foreign citizens, the two countries should open
negotiations on the implementation of the law.
The president of the Federation of Italian Refugees, Guido
Brazzudoro, said he recently spoke to Croatian Ambassador Drago
Kraljevic. The two officials concluded that after the adoption of
the law in the Croatian parliament new prospects for negotiations
were opened.
