ZAGREB, July 12 (Hina) - The number of tourists visiting Croatian marinas rose by 17 percent to 93.6 thousand in the first five months of 2002 as against the same period in 2001, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics reported on
Friday.

The number of their overnight stays climbed by 20 percent to
137,000.
The number of foreign tourists rose by 16 percent to 89,000, who
registered 132,000 overnight stays in Croatian marinas (an
increase of 20 percent).
Domestic guests amounted to 3,900 and this was a climb of 46
percent. They had 4,800 overnight stays, or 14-percent increase
compared to the first five months in 2001.
