BELGRADE, July 10 (Hina) - The incumbent Yugoslav president, Vojislav Kostunica, and a Yugoslav vice premier, Miroljub Labus, stand best chances for taking over the office of the Serbian President, according to an opinion
poll.

According to the results of that poll, conducted by the "Medijum
Index" agency, Kostunica is popular among 25 percent of voters, and
Labus among 19 percent.
All other potential candidates won the support by less than six
percent of respondents.
The poll was conducted among 1,100 respondents in 55 towns in
Serbia.
Last week, the ruling coalition DOS in Serbia announced that a
presidential election would probably be held in September.
The term of office of the incumbent Serbian President, Milan
Milutinovic, who is an indictee of the UN war crimes tribunal,
expires in December.
