The event will be written in capital letters in the history of
Croatian culture and Croatia's relations with other cultural and
religious traditions, Jezic said at a press conference, held at the
Croatian Pan-European Union offices after the Dalai Lama left the
country today.
The Croatian Pan-European Union is a non-government association
which organised the Dalai-Lama's visit to Zagreb, while his visit
to Split was organised by the Association for Support to Tibet.
Jezic said the Dalai Lama's visit was an expression of the
determination of the Croatian public to open up to dialogue with
other cultures and religions and support the struggle for the human
rights of the Tibetan people.
Attending the news conference was also Swami Maheshwarananda
Swamiji, the author of the system "Yoga in Everyday Life", who
introduced the ancient skill of yoga in the Western world. He is one
of the most prominent spiritual teachers of today. He visited
Zagreb to meet with the Dalai Lama at the Dalai Lama's request.
The Zagreb branch of the system "Yoga in Everyday Life" is one of the
sponsors of the Dalai Lama's visit to Croatia.
