At about 01.00 pm Saturday, a group of young people threw the tear
gas in front of the stage in the Zrinjevac park (downtown Zagreb)
where some 200 homosexuals, bisexuals and transsexuals were
finishing their first parade in Croatia.
Nobody was injured as a small quantity of the gas was used.
The police dispersed the opponents without using force.
The first rally of this kind in Zagreb called "Gay Pride 2002" was
heavily guarded by police and security. It finished shortly after
01.00 pm.
