Speaking to reporters on Friday in Sarajevo, where she arrived as
the head of a European Parliament working group in charge of
cooperation with South-East European countries, Pack said she
regretted having to say that there was still no necessary political
agreement which could lead to the strengthening of the Bosnian
state.
She said this way of thinking was particularly harmful for the
country's economic development as nobody would invest into a
country whose entities have separate laws.
The necessary economic reforms in Bosnia-Herzegovina can be
implemented only at the state level, she said.
She reminded that Bosnia-Herzegovina had still not used the trade
privileges it had been granted two years ago by the European Union.
Without a single market, there will be no state of Bosnia-
Herzegovina, Pack said, warning that the European Parliament would
not approve any projects which did not contribute to strengthening
Bosnia-Herzegovina as a state.
