The meeting focused on the possibility of cooperation between
Dubrovnik and Boka Kotorska Bay Croats. Suica said that Dubrovnik
was ready for cooperation with Boka Kotorska Croats, as well as with
other residents of the Boka Kosorska Bay region. She added she was
aware that borders were opening and that cooperation was
inevitable.
The Croat Civil Society of Montenegro was established in December
2001 as the first civil association of Boka Kotorska Croats.
Society president Schubert said the purpose of the society was to
preserve the tradition of Boka Kotorska Bay Croats and their
cultural heritage, of which more than 70 percent was owned by local
Croats.
