The agreement has not as yet given any economic results, MPs said in
a debate in parliament.
A state secretary in the Foreign Ministry, Samuel Zbogar, said that
economic effects could be expected only after the agreement was
entirely realised.
Zbogar said that the Slovene government insisted on the standpoint
that the agreement was valid only if entirely implemented. He said
the authorities in Ljubljana particularly insisted on Article 49
which refers to the fishing along the border line.
"The official standpoint of the authorities in Zagreb for now is
also that the agreement should be implemented in its entirety as an
international agreement above the regulations of the Croatian law
on fishing industry," Zgabor said.
