Sabor adopted a law on the protection of mentally ill persons. The
bill on inheritance was supported in the first reading.
MPs refused two requests of the leading opposition party - the
Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ).
The first refers to the set-up of a commission of enquiry whose task
would be to investigate if transcripts taken from the archives were
lawfully handed over to the Hague-based international war crimes
tribunal.
The other motion was the set-up of a commission of enquiry to
investigate allegations by former state prosecutor, Radovan
Ortynski, about ties between the government and organised crime.
