ZAGREB, May 29 (Hina) - The Croatian parliament on Wednesday began a special session to mark May 30, Croatian Sabor Day, with the national anthem and paying of respects to all who sacrificed their lives for the homeland over the last
century.

Croatian Sabor Day is marked for the first time. Opening the
session, parliamentary vice president Mato Arlovic welcomed
Croatian President Stjepan Mesic, Deputy Prime Minister Drazen
Budisa, representatives of the judicial authority, religious
communities, the diplomatic corps, the City of Zagreb and Zagreb
County.
Parliamentary president Zlatko Tomcic delivered a speech.
