The talks with Maslesa addressed the implementation of a Croatia-
Bosnia agreement on combating terrorism and organised crime which
was signed yesterday, Croatian Interior Ministry spokeswoman Zinka
Bardic said.
Lucin and Maslesa agreed the chiefs of the two countries' crime
police forces would meet in Zagreb by the end of the month to define
priorities, problems, and cooperation in the struggle against
economic crimes, drug trafficking, and money laundering.
Lucin and Maslesa also discussed the training of personnel working
in the struggle against terrorism and organised crime, and police
modernisation.
Lucin stressed Croatia was a safe country for tourists.
The talks with the head of the Bosnian border service Slavisa
Vukovic and his deputy Tomislav Mihalj tackled an agreement signed
yesterday on the use of joint border crossing locations.
The officials agreed on undertaking joint actions in border control
and dealing with illegal migrations. Lucin said Croatia intended to
keep illegal migrations on the decline this year as well.
Spokeswoman Bardic announced the Croatian border police management
would meet Bosnian colleagues on June 21 to agree on details for the
transit of tourists through the southern Bosnian seaport of Neum.
