ZAGREB, June 14 (Hina) - Croatian Defence Minister Jozo Rados told
reporters on Friday that he would be travelling to the United States
on Saturday to hold talks with US defence department officials
about cooperation in defence. Rados also announced his visit to
Slovenia where Croatia will join the Central European Nations
Cooperation Peace Support (CENCOOP) programme, a peace initiative
by countries of Central Europe. #L#
Rados said he would speak with officials in the US and Slovenia
about the possibility of a Croatian unit of the military police
leaving for a peace mission in Afghanistan.
The Croatian delegation will speak with partners who are to check up
out unit, Rados said, adding that negotiations had been held for a
Croatian unit to be included in the contingent of German troops
leaving for Afghanistan.
Rados also announced the possibility for two Croatian military
observers going to the line of separation between India and
Pakistan as part of UN troops.
