"If our parliament ratifies the agreement, we would no longer have
any instrument to annul it, even if the Constitutional Court rules
that the document is contrary to the Constitution," Bogovic was
quoted by the Slovene radio as saying.
The Constitutional Court should receive an initiative supported by
at least one third of MPs, i.e. 30 deputies.
According to Bogovic he had a sufficient number of signatures.
Until the court makes a ruling, the parliament cannot ratify the
deal, although this issue is on the agenda of the parliament's
regular session, which begins on Wednesday afternoon.
Incumbent Slovene Premier Janez Drnovsek is expected to give a
final view on the matter on Thursday when he answers questions of
MPs at a parliamentary session.
